Rice
for Life
For most of the Humanity, life and rice are entirely connected. In Vietnam,
the verb to eat is translated by "Eat rice". In Myanmar people
are eating about 195 kg of rice every year. Almost the same in Cambodia and Laos
(160 kg). That is about 50 to 60 time more than in Europe where the average
is just 3 to 7 kg per year.
The number of rice consumers is also rapidly increasing with 1.2 billion new consumers to feed with rice in Asia by 2020. To make it possible will requireof the international community tremendous efforts. This will probably be the greatest challenge in the history of agriculture.
Creating a space dedicated to the art about the rice is only a little grain. Making it grow is a contribution that we would like to share with you.
On this
site adults and children will find animation, short films, stories, webisodes
and games on the theme of the Rice.
