To make the “Animation Roads” possible, FAXCINATION collaborates with regional Institutions, groups and individuals in order to collect the sequences of images needed for the Animation Roads. These are generally produced during workshops that take place in the framework of the Institutions programmes. Workshops also take place at school or in youth centres. The groups and partners who decide to be involved in the FAXCINATION projects are generally sensitive to the following aspects.
IMAJ,
which stands for Institut de la Memoire Audiovisuelle Juive participated to
the FAXCINATION project in 1997. At that time, the organizers
have launched a "FAX session" in which kids from Macao (China) and
kids from Brussels collaborated together in the making of a fresco using A4
pages sent from one side to another. After 3 hours of distance working (10.00
km), both groups could hang the same fresco in the two cities. IMAJ whose
activities are mostly orientated to the education through films on Jewish
subjects, aims to take part to a future Animation Road where kids from the
different countries of the Middle East will be involved. This Road will be
called the "Road Map. IMAJ decided to collaborate on the Rice Road as
Delegated Producer as a first training for the organization of the Road Map.
